Erma Ranieri

Appointed on 1 July 2014, Commissioner for Public Sector Employment Erma Ranieri works passionately towards creating a world-leading public sector that serves South Australians well, does what it says it will do, and to which every public servant is proud to belong.

With the role of the public sector being to serve and support South Australia to thrive, Erma leads sector-wide reform to modernise the public sector and continue to build on its value and service to the South Australian community. 

Erma has worked for more than 30 years to help organisations optimise productivity and employee well-being. She was named a 2014 Telstra Business Woman of the Year as SA Winner of the Telstra Community and Government Award for her role in leading transformational change throughout the public sector.

With a key focus on diversity and gender equality in leadership as business imperatives for the public sector, Erma continues to challenge cultural and structural barriers to drive innovative, collaborative and connected services for the community.

Chris Wood MBA, MAICD, FCPHR

Chris is the General Manager People, Performance and Culture at Adelaide Football Club where he is responsible for leading the organisations achievement of clear measures of its human capital.

Chris brings a breadth of experience in role discipline, industry and location. Chris has had roles in retail, hospitality, leisure, FMCG, airline and resources industries. He has a decade of international experience in the USA, Canada, UK and Europe, and returned to Australia in 2008. He is a Certified Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute, a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a MBA from the Oxford Brookes University, UK.

Peter Seltsikas 

Peter is the Senior Manager, Asset Management for SA Water. In this role he leads the strategic, operational and capital investment planning for the Corporation’s $14bn of infrastructure assets. Peter has 20 years experience in the utility sector, first within Oil and Gas and more recently within the water industry. Peter has held many senior commercial and operational roles throughout his career and has been responsible for leading business through significant change.

Peter holds an Engineering Degree with Honours, a Master’s In Business Administration is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Governors Leadership Foundation Program.

Peter is a Non-Executive Director of the Australian Dance Theatre Company.

Peter was also the co-recipient of the 2015 ChangeConnect Award for the project, IMPROVING ASSET MAINTENANCE, SA WATER SUPPORTED BY CLEAR DECISIONS (Lisa Twyford – Managing Director, Clear Decisions). 

Philippa Hurford

Philippa is a professional coach, currently on the pathway to obtaining the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential with the International Coach Federation (ICF).  Philippa delivers Executive, Leadership and Career Coaching to individuals at all organisational levels and diverse stages of their work life to assist in their achieving positive change.

Philippa’s strong commitment to the expanding field of executive, leadership and career coaching, is borne out of her 15 plus years’ experience in organisational change management (in both Adelaide and Melbourne). During this time she worked as an internal change manager and/or external change management consultant in a diverse range of organisations to successfully implement major workplace change. The catalysts for these changes included systems implementations, culture transformation programs and organisation restructures.

Phillipa has an Advanced Personal and Executive Coaching Certificate, College of Executive Coaching (USA); Masters of Business Administration (Human Resources Management), Charles Sturt University, NSW; and a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Economics, University of Adelaide, SA.

Celebrate change

All types of organisational change projects are encouraged to enter the ChangeConnect Awards 2017 – whether social or organisational and transformational or incremental  – we are looking for projects that responded directly to the context, showed creative and sound techniques, tackled challenges and influenced stakeholders. In other words, projects with a story to tell and measurables to prove it.

Nomination is simple:

  • Complete the Nomination Form due by 6 October 2017.
  • Make sure you tell a good story with examples and outcomes.
  • Share some of your change materials, such as videos, tools, plans, communications, presentations etc.
  • Be prepared to present your project to the judging panel (finalists only)
